Meeting Cost Meter

Put a price on your calendar. See what a meeting costs each time and over a year, test what happens if you shorten it or trim the invite list, or run a live meter while it's happening. Everything stays in your browser.

Who's in the room

Group attendees by role. Use each group's average loaded hourly cost (salary plus benefits and overhead).

How it's calculated

  • Cost per meeting = Σ (people in group × hourly cost) × (length + prep time) ÷ 60
  • Cost per year = cost per meeting × meetings per year (workdays 260, weekly 52, every two weeks 26, monthly 12, quarterly 4)
  • Hourly cost from salary = salary × (1 + benefits & overhead %) ÷ 2,080

This measures time cost only. A meeting can easily be worth more than it costs — the point is to make the trade-off visible, not to cancel every meeting.
